Secession

Maybe it was the 2 pints of beer that I drank this evening, that made a recent post by Ed Rasimus seem so very logical. On the other hand, our first president, George Washington, certainly understood the value of alcohol during war.  It removes fear from your mind, and under the right set of circumstances, your thoughts actually become clearer.

We are at war. That is a fact. The recently lost election doesn't mean that the war has been lost. If the winners of this recent election mean to enslave you and yours, then quite a few people will find their will and the means to continue fighting back.

So, lots of pundits recently called the talk of secession and these petitions to the White House, crazy talk. They imagine the people who sign these petitions as some ill bred mutants with IQ's in single digits, while others say that signing your name onto this petition is just asking for federal trouble. They  all want this nonsense to be quickly dismissed and forgotten, so that we can move onto more civilized topics.

Well, I don't think that this talk of secession is nonsense and I can think of a number of recent socialist utopia states that broke apart. The biggest and the most important was the Soviet Union.  In its end, secession was quite sane and a very effective means to end a very bad relationship with the central government.

Also, lets consider what really destroyed that evil empire: it was a weak economy.  What do we have in the country formerly know as the "Land of Free and the Home of the Brave"?  We have a very weak economy and considering our current heading, it will only become weaker. Sure the federal government may, in desperate times, become more ruthless and appear more threatening but, it's real strength will only spiral down as its economic health deteriorates.  The European Union will also dissolve, and for the same core reasons.

People can poo-poo these secession petitions all they want, but eventual dissolution of our United States is the road we're on. I don't really see many alternate paths at this point.

Promises of Peace.

Aesop's Fables

Translated by George Fyler Townsend

The Wolves and the Sheep

"WHY SHOULD there always be this fear and slaughter between us?" said the Wolves to the Sheep. "Those evil-disposed Dogs have much to answer for. They always bark whenever we approach you and attack us before we have done any harm. If you would only dismiss them from your heels, there might soon be treaties of peace and reconciliation between us." The Sheep, poor silly creatures, were easily beguiled and dismissed the Dogs, whereupon the Wolves destroyed the unguarded flock at their own pleasure.

We in the conservative blogosphere, discuss the ridiculous measures that Israeli politicians, self appointed masters from the UN, and our own American seemingly mindless politicians try to use to establish peace in the Middle East.  All these measures boil down to getting rid of the watchdogs, so that there will be peaceful co-existence between wolves and sheep. This recent Israeli-Palestinian cease fire agreement can be simply characterized as: insanity prevails once more among the silly sheep.

For reasons that seem bizarre to us, the liberal talking heads promote the removal of defensive measures. We look at them and think, these people can't possibly be this stupid.

When liberal politicians win elections, we are left bewildered thinking how could so many people buy into this insanity. The truth is that not all liberal socialists are silly sheep. Wolves hide among them. We think it is enough to focus on the silliness of the sheep; we believe that our real fight is with the sheep.

Disguised by wearing the hides of progressive sheep, these wolves stealthily create the rules that favor only themselves. Whether it is an attack on our first and second amendments, or an immeasurable number of other edicts that weaken the individual citizen, the goal is always the same. This goal remains to remove the guard dogs and so that the wolves can slaughter the sheep at will.

A Sad Day For Our Republic.

Allen West conceded the congressional seat to a cheat and a liar. This election fraud was perpetrated by many people including a county election supervisor named Gertrude Walker. The fact that Allen West wouldn't surrender his fight for so long, deserves praise.

In the end, he realized that the corruptocrats were too deeply embedded and that this battle was lost. However, the war is far from over. I will not give up and I am proud to be part of this country's majority of citizens.

To my fellow Americans: find your courage and stand with us. Our day of victory will come.

The Stink of Benghazi

Israeli cities are under attack. Missiles have reached Tel Aviv. Mortar fire is coming out of Syria and Jordan may soon fall to Muslim Brotherhood. Where did these missiles that reached Tel Aviv come from? Apparently some of them, came to Gaza from Libya.  Hmm... Where did Obama topple a relatively benign dictator to empower Al-Qaeda groups? Libya! What was Stevens doing in Benghazi? He was involved in weapons trade, among other things. Terrorists in Gaza now have effective anti-aircraft weapons. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them were US made.

I now wish to thank every one of the 70% of American Jews that voted for Obama. You all have blood on your hands, and I wish nothing more to do with you. To my delusional progressive liberal family and friends: FUCK OFF! Fuck off now and forever.

Progressive Dictators.

Three countries, important to our world, have seen a recent change in their governance.  In each case, the change has been for the worse.

First there was Turkey; it used to be a democratic outpost in the near east.  Now it is governed by Muslim fundamentalists and in many ways, Erdogan is Turkey's new dictator. The old military guard in Turkey, that vowed to protect its democracy, was quickly dispatched with.

Then came Egypt. Egypt did have a dictator, and if you're  a Muslim fanatical murderer, you might like the new Egypt. However, anyone else is far worse off. Egyptian military that was praised as a force of reason in the area, is gone. Morsi got rid of them faster than anyone thought possible.

Now, we come to the good old USA. Obama orchestrated a stinking farce of an election, and is now getting rid of this nation's military leadership. I am certain that their replacements won't take any oath to protect the constitution, seriously. They will be his men. Obama rules by executive edict and the media has become nothing more than a propaganda arm for the federal government. He is our dictator and may yet prove to be the most blood thirsty of these three. At least Erdogan and Morsi like their national majorities. Obama hates the majority of the population in this country.

General Sideshow.

The revelation of Petraeus supposed affair is meant to distract public eyes. Oh look at the CIA director: he betrayed his wife; he resigned over a sordid sex scandal... LOOK SQUIRREL!

Whether or not he had some affair has no bearing on his needed testimony on Benghazi. What cowardice on the part of Petraeus is being displayed at this time. This is how he ends his service to the country: to be used as a sideshow.  Subpoena this idiot and then impeach his puppet master - Obama.

I want obama to become a derogatory term for the next 200 years; he must be brought to justice. Congress critters, show that you can at least rise to the level of being called vertebrates.

The State Wants Your Obedience

Read the rest here.  To all the fools who claim that we need to attract a bigger tent or that we need to be kinder,
just say: HELL NO!

What We Lost

The American dream is gone. It ended during the night of November 6th, 2012. Teach your children guile and to hold their tongue. Honesty is weakness.  Want to be a work horse, go ahead but it will not earn you anything other than scorn from your peers. Want to pretend you still have a voice in this government, then go on pretending; especially if it makes it easier to go to sleep at night.  It is night-time for America. Lock your doors well.

The Hangover

Perhaps we were all drinking and acting foolishly, while the other side was laughing at us. We thought we had sound reason, but now our pockets are picked clean and our clothes look like someone walked all over them. I have no pill for this headache and it will be a very long hangover.

Wishful Thinking

I've been and will remain very busy this weekend, working at medical shelter/field triage facility. There I am surrounded by EMT's, nurses, and doctors who came from very far to help with hurricane relief. They are a pretty gun ho bunch, full of good will, and it has been reassuring to be around them  in that our society isn't doomed.

The locals like me share stories about the damage their homes sustained and the most common topic of concern for everyone is the gasoline shortage. Most people have exhausted their car reserve and are trying to get rides from others. I can get a ride from my hospital to this shelter in our official shuttle. So I asked the driver where he got his gasoline. I thought that there might be special pumps for emergency vehicles, and there might be, but in this case he was just as unfortunate as the rest of us. He has 2 vehicles at his disposal. One is out of gas and the one we were riding in, his co-worker spent 6 hours waiting on line to gas up.  One of our affiliated hospitals does have a pump for their own vehicles but they have refused to help with our vehicles, and in this shortage, I can see why.

When I got home yesterday, I heard all sorts of rumors from people. One rumor was of a special location where NY transit employees would be rationed 5 gallons of gasoline per day; someone wasted several gallons driving there only to find out that this story was untrue. Other people talk of out of the way locations where there is gas easily available but these locations are pretty far out of reach and don't seem real to me. Who has enough fuel to drive somewhere for several hours anymore?  Furthermore, each time a rumor starts I hear of someone who actually went to this facility only to find that they are out of gas.

Yesterday morning, I saw a 5 block long line of cars standing still. I recognized some of the people on this line as my neighbors. When I finally drove past the station, I saw a sign out front that said "NO GAS", but the cars weren't moving anywhere. They were parked along bus stops and everyone just sat there awaiting the next delivery.  I worked a 36 hour shift, and went to sleep as soon as I came home. In the evening I walked down the many flights of my building as the elevators were out of service, and will likely remain this way for the next week, and walked over to this gas station. The scene didn't change. Same cars were still standing there.

Soon I will be leaving for another 36 hour shift, and I have just enough gas for one more round trip to work.  Then, it will be election day and I really hope that afterwards things will change for the better.

Frustration Mounts

NYC has become something ugly in the aftermath of hurricane Sandy.  A gas truck rolled up to one of the few functioning gas stations in Brooklyn and cars immediately lined; a fight broke out between several people trying to edge one another out in this gas line. Now cops are needed to police gas stations.  Decency has gone out the window and everyone is out for themselves.

This is what happens when an overcrowded city is strained by a natural disaster past its ability to support its population. People will die.

Interestingly the Gadsen Times has a nice article on the current state of NYC.
